SPRING IS HERE!!!
It’s that time again!  Time for the magical transformations that
occur outdoors all around us each Spring.  Time to get ready for
the Hummingbird and the Oriole to show up again.   Time to 
watch for the Indigo Bunting and the Rose-breasted Grosbeak to
make an appearance as they pass through our area.  Time to 
suddenly see that the Goldfinch has done his color change and is
once more a bright yellow.  Time to look forward to watching 
the birds go through their mating rituals, shop around for a nesting
box, make never-ending journeys to bring food to their young 
and, eventually, bring the youngsters to our feeders to teach them
where the good stuff to eat is.

COME IN AND MEET LAUREN, the new weekdays addition to the 
Backyard Birds staff.  Carol, who was long the mainstay at Backyard
Birds during the week, has left in order to help care for her new
grandchild. She is missed.  However, we are happy to have found 
Lauren, and we think you will be happy to meet her too. 

VORTEX BINOCULARS are now in the store.  They’ll be out on
display as soon as the showcase for them arrives.  If you would like
to look at them in the meantime, just ask!

NEW SPRING MERCHANDISE JUST KEEPS ON ROLLING IN.
Some of our more recent arrivals are some wonderful fountains and 
cast stone birdbaths and statuary.  More of these things from still 
another manufacturer are due to arrive during April.  Every day
brings more arrivals, big and small.  We are working hard at getting
the new things out for you to see and (hopefully) purchase.
